Say Hello to 20 New Cards. And a Smarter Hoot.
Get ready for a new meta! Plus, Hoot’s been studying, and we’ve been busy fixing those bugs you all found.
Thinking. Differently.
This patch is more than just bug fixes (though it has a ton of those). We’re introducing 20 brand-new cards to completely shake up the meta. We can’t wait to see the broken combos you discover.
And speaking of discovering things, Hoot has discovered a few new brain cells.
What’s New (and Shiny)
- A Smarter Hoot: We’ve rebuilt our AI logic from the ground up. Hoot now plays with actual strategy, understands new combos, and is much better at attacking and blocking. Good luck, you’ll need it.
- 20 New Cards: That’s right. Twenty. Get in there and find your new win condition.
- It’s… Beautiful: The Season panel now has a lovely new background reflecting the current season.
- Combat UI, But Clearer: We heard you. The battleground now highlights in red (Attack!) or yellow (Defend!) during combat. No more “wait, am I…?”
- Instant Gratification: We added a new popup for opening a booster pack right after you buy it. Because who likes waiting?

Bugs. Squashed.
You found ‘em, we fixed ‘em. A huge thank you to everyone reporting these.
- Warbloom Purifier and Violent Intimidation have had their targeting systems recalibrated and now hit the right marks.
- Fixed a spooky edge case where Reboot could revive Glitches with 0 health. Zombies begone!
- Worldender and The Boss are now working together correctly.
- Fixed some pesky translation errors (looking at you, Rust Bucket and Necronomics) and tidied up the hover descriptions for the Recruit talent.
Under the Hood
Some things you won’t see, but you’ll feel.
- The All-New Targeting System: We’ve moved to a much more robust targeting and cost system. This new architecture prevents a ton of edge cases and just… works better.
- Smoother News: Optimized image loading for the community news panel. Zippy.
- Peak Stability: We hunted down and fixed NPRE exceptions from the onboarding scene and potential crashes in the Store and Match Report. The game is now sturdier than ever.
